About the Event

Part of the Future of Work Institute (FOWI) Seminar Series

Having been on the academic job market and now leading faculty recruitment searches, Dr. Jonathan E. Booth will discuss seeking academic jobs and the recruitment and selection process from both applicant and search committee perspectives. Additionally, he will speak to his experience related to his international academic career, particularly his transitioning from one context (e.g., original citizenship and PhD training in USA) to another (e.g., working in the UK) and navigating this journey.  Further, he will discuss his approaches to successfully maintaining a career in a new environment, best practices to collaborating with scholars from around the planet (and not in one's time zone), and more.
