About the Event

This workshop will present perspectives about how to develop, form, and maintain successful research collaborations in academia. Topics covered will include how do identify collaborators and make informed decisions about project viability, addressing interpersonal dynamics and communicating effectively, and navigating authorship decisions. This is intended to be an interactive discussion, and participants are encouraged to bring questions and contribute their experiences as well.

About the speaker

Andrew Yu is an Associate Professor and co-Director of the Doctoral Program in Management & Marketing at the University of Melbourne. He holds a PhD in Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management (OB/HRM) from Michigan State University. Andrew's research has focused on diversity, leadership, team dynamics, and well-being. Prior to academia, Andrew has worked in a corporate setting, started his own business, and served in the military.
