About the Event

Meta-analysis (MA) is the quantitative, scientific synthesis of research findings across studies. Since its origin, MA has had a revolutionary effect across many scientific disciplines, helping to establish evidence-based practice and to resolve seemingly contradictory research outcomes. Subsequent methodological work has integrated the merits of MA and multivariate research methods to generate robust parameter estimates for causal inferences. This class of techniques is broadly referred to as “meta-analytic structural equation modelling” (meta-SEM). This FOWI Academy session will introduce these useful methods, the procedures of conducting a MA / meta-SEM, as well as sharing tips and lessons-learned along the way. After covering some basics, and time allowing, we will have a demonstration / hands-on practice of these methods. The remainder will be open for addressing questions regarding the challenges people come across regarding their own research projects involving these methods.

To attend, it is essential that you RSVP to get access…
