Part of Future of Work Institute’s Thursday Seminar Series

This session will cover the basics of Blockchain Technology, provide all the background information on how blockchain technology work, which industries are transformed with blockchain and how enterprises can adopt blockchain platform to streamline business operations. There will be a hands on exercise to give you a real flavour of blockchain to gain deeper insights in the technology and its unique features. The session will then cover several real world case studies and projects developed by the Blockchain R&D Lab.

About the Speaker

Associate Professor Vidy Potdar is the Director of Blockchain R&D Lab at Curtin University. He has raised over $1.5 million dollars in research funds to drive his research. The Blockchain Lab currently collaborates with several industry partners and delivers commercial grade software solutions. In 2020 the lab developed a complete provenance and traceability solution for Australian agriculture section using blockchain technology. This commercial grade solution is now used by Australian farmers to track their produce.
