About the Event
Pitching Your Research: A Workshop to Practice Your Pitch
Sometimes, fate conspires to give you an opportunity to talk to an influencer about your research idea or plans. One, good pitch may lead to a new, cutting-edge research project or progress an existing one! Unfortunately, many academics struggle with pitching their ideas in a brief and appealing way, instead falling into traps like being long-winded, monotone, or digging too deeply into technical details. In this workshop, hosted by our very own Entrepreneurship expert Dr M.K. Ward, up to 10 members of FOWI will deliver their pitches, receive feedback to improve their pitch, and we cap things off with an award ceremony!
