About the Event

Part of Future of Work Institute’s Thursday Seminar Series

Associate Professor Richard Oloruntoba (Curtin University) will present a high-level overview of key principles and current issues in global supply chain management and logistics. This serves as a contextual background to the second part of the presentation - a high level synthesis of the research problems and questions Richard Oloruntoba’s research programme aims to solve; while the last part of the presentation demonstrates a link to the work of FOWI, and espouses FOWI – SCM collaboration opportunities.

About the Speaker

Richard Oloruntoba worked 13 years in freight forwarding, and sales in Nigeria, and the UK. He began an academic career in 2001 in logistics and SCM in 2001 at the Institute of Marine Studies (later, Centre for International Shipping & International Logistics), University of Plymouth, UK. Richard has published over 60 refereed articles mostly on logistics and SCM topics in leading international journal outlets and flagship conferences. His research programme is focused on human sustainability, health and humanitarian supply chains. Richard’s research has attracted $265,000 in competitive national and international grants.
